Acupuncture

Mummy have been searching on the internet

very frequently during these days

she wants to find out beside therapy

is there any other method to help me

then she found this link

and thought of giving it a try

so, last thursday ( 15/12/11)

Mummy bring me to the acupuncturist(AP) shop

which is just a few blocks away from bbsitter's house

when im inside the shop

Mummy and bbsitter tried to distract me

with toys and hp

i didnt realised when the AP

poke the 'needle'on my head

Mummy was surprised bcoz

not only 1 needle ,but 4 needles

i started to show some reaction

when AP poke my heel with needle

and i start wailing & crying

kicking & fussing around

when the needles poke

all over my hands and legs

the whole session last bout 15 mins

and the fees was RM20

Mummy thought after that session

for sure i will have nightmare

and cries in the nite

surprisingly, when bbsitter told Mummy

not only i did not cried

but i didnt even woke up for my midnite feed

(yes, im still on my midnite feed , 2 feeds usually)

Mummy feels so relief

for the past few days

i sleep thru the whole nite without

crying in my sleep, and no more midnite feed

(i've been crying for no reasons for last one week)

p/s - i will surely bring him for the acupuncture session again. I dont know whether it helps or not, but Iyson did stop crying after that session. Maybe that acupuncture makes him calm/relax. Who knows , right? As long as it do no harm to Iyson, i will surely continue with this.

Caught In The Sleep

I falls asleep

right after i finish eating my bread

Guess i was way too tired from all the running

at gor gor kindy earlier

can see the bread crumb just under my arm?

hehehe, actually not only me lah

Daddy was also caught sleeping next to me

or i sleep next to Daddy??

I can finish it all by myself

In fact, i have just finish my dinner

before Mummy offered me this

such a big eater , huh?

for the little me ;-)

Last few months

After so many follow up emails

and drag for almost 2 mths

Finally Mummy received all the gift

Back In Action

After 2 days no practising on my sensory simulation

today , im back in action

Mummy think and think

what else can be used as a 'tool'

finally she think of this

when she opened up the fridge

Mummy found this , rice grains

(oh, dont ask me why the rice was kept in the fridge)

i was a bit nervous at first

coz the grains was cold

and im scared to try on new things

i never play with rice before

and dont know that rice can be play like this

but after warm up session

i dare to bury my 2 fist inside

i dont know that playing with rice grains

would be so much fun

hi, Mummy, i like this

(gor gor also like this too, but was forbidden by Mummy)

p/s - i notice that now , he 's more open in accepting new things and environment around him. But im also having a hard time to control him when he's really out of control, if u know what i mean.

Im Sick Again...

since yesterday i was down

with fever , very very high fever

till 39 degree celcius

Daddy brings me to the clinic

and i've taken the fever med

but the fever still wont subside

every 4 hrs , my body temperature

will shoot up

so today Mummy bought the pearl powder

from the chinese med shop

pearl powder was believed

can reduce body heatiness

for this 2 days

i become super cranky

and super attached

even Por por(bbsitter's mother)

also become my tree

i was like a koala bear clinging to the tree

lol

p/s - for this 2 days, he was on holiday, no need to learn his occupational skills. Pity him, after taking the med, he was so restless.

More Activities

Today Mummy repeat again

yesterday's task @ picking macaroni

this round, i didnt use my smart way,

i pick up few at a time

and transferred to the empty bowl

i didnt spread on the floor

instead i pick up the macaroni that drop on the floor

and put it back into the bowl

hi, Mummy, are you proud of me?

i almost done with my macaroni

(yes, yes, yes, Mummy is very proud of you, son)

after that macaroni

Mummy introduce another activity for me

that is squeezing clay dough

Ewww, whats that , Mummy?

feels so flimsy

i dont quite like it

so i paste it in on gor gor beloved ipad

( Mummy roll eyes)

Mummy said i must try to squeeze the dough

so that i can feel its soft & bouncy texture

but i got another idea

i start to pinch that dough

into small pieces just like this

( Mummy eyes wide)

Mummy gathered all the small piece

and roll it back into a ball

and pass it back to me

hey, purple thingy thingy

u think im afraid of you?

u dont dare to make a move

then i grab it, and show it up high

Mummy, see, see

im not afraid of this thing anymore

Yes, another successful attempt

p/s - My eyes was tearing when i see him can achieve this. Maybe for some of u , it was a simple task, but not for him..before this, he dont dare to try on anything that is new to him.

Activity of the Day

Mummy cant wait to start off

with the activities that the therapist

suggested yesterday

this morning , Mummy fills up a bowl

with uncooked macaroni

first, she ask me to feel the texture of the macaroni

a bit rough & cold ( the macaroni was kept in the fridge)

i like it

then Mummy said i need to transferred

the macaroni to another empty bowl

i have to use my tiny fingers to pick up

first, i was enjoying it

but the process of picking was too slow

so i got a clever idea

i just bring up the whole bowl

and pour it to another bowl

end up, i kena redo the whole thing again

the purpose of this activity was for my sensory stimulation

meaning that i have to use my hands to feel it

which i dont like

so to show my protest, i pour the macaroni on the floor

and swept it away with my hands

which earned me a hard spank from Mummy

Next, Mummy let me try out the finger water paint

which i never played before

the paint was sticky, another good source for

my sensory stimulation

am still ok in the beginning

once the paint got out of control

and stick everywhere to my body parts

i become like this

i dont like the paint at all

it was so sticky and it makes me dirty

p/s - eventhough both activity not that successful, but i will keep on trying it out with Iyson. The purpose is for him to feel different type of material that have different textures, to teach him what is soft, hard , sticky and etc...

My 1st Session

Went for my 1st session

of Occupational therapy

at 3pm today

While waiting for my turn

i can still run around

not aware what was waiting for me

When my name was being called

i was being paranoid again

i dont wanna go in that room

Mummy tried to coax me in but failed

i was wailing out loud

till the therapist said its ok

just to let me stay outside the room

while he interviewed Mummy

end up, during that one hour session

i falls asleep in bbsitter arm

in the end of the session

Mummy got a check list

of activities that needed

to be practiced at home

some of the activities included:

bill for the day, RM 30

p/s - 1st session was not good at all, coz Iyson was rejecting himself from being approached by the therapist. Im hoping for the next session, which is next month, he will be more cooperative.

Mummy's Worst Nightmare

Mummy have been worry

about my condition since few mths back

she notice im very slow in my developement

compare to the kids that same age with me

she have been asking around

and look for more information about

AUTISM

she suspected im one

she dig up her courage to make an appointment

at HUKM to do an assessment for me

so today is the day

when we reach the hospital

the specialist clinic is located on the 7th floor

Did Mummy mention before im very PHOBIA of taking the lift?

My face will turn green before i reach the lift door

i cant even bear to listen to the 'ding' sound

end up , Mummy have to carry me

climbing up the staircase all the way to 7th floor

Pity Mummy

after a series of assessment

here's what the specialist commented

she didnt want to diagnosed me with autism

but just saying im having the signs

and its too young to tell at my age

and still need to wait for another 6 mths

then she will re-assess me again

meanwhile,i was being referred to do this

speech therapy (appt only can make for next year, this year already full)

and this - Occupational therapy( the appt on this coming friday)

Mummy hopes after doing all this

she will see some changes on me

20 Months Old

Im 20 months old today

Weight : 12.3kg

still as cheerful as always

when my demand was fulfill

but my bad tamper was

getting from bad to worst

i will go to a corner and hide

and throw tantrum

till got people come to

pujuk & sayang me

and Mummy can see clearly now

my lower 1st molar have erupted

sooner or later i will have a mouthful

of teeth !!

When im just a weeks old

After a few round of observation

i can play the ipad on my own too

i knew i have to tap on the balloon to burst it

Mummy was so amazed

kids nowadays really IT savvy

Mummy caught me in the act

Mummy thought why dont give it a try

But of course, Mummy didnt aimed big

so she joins for the weekly contest

as long as can win something will do

Mummy send in 2 entries only

coz she only managed to get 2 aluminium foils

When Mummy received a call from Dumex rep

she thought it was a prank call

2 entries only woh, so lucky can be choosen?

she did probe further to make sure the call was genuine

and when the rep said Mummy won the 2nd prize

that is RM1k cash prize

she was like, oh my god,

it was just that easy

send in , then you will have a chance

no send in, no chance to win at all

when Mummy googled up for their winning list

Mummy spotted her name

after opening a Yippie account for me

now Mummy waiting patiently

for the prize money to be credited in

19 Months Old

Im 19 months old today

Weight @ 11.9kg

(slightly increased 0.1kg from last month)

As usual, im the lil' Missy at home

apart from being sensitive

and overly manja

Mummy now notice i like to

grab a hanky whenever i go

i hold it when i sleep

when im awake im still holding on it

Still cant talk yet

am so comfortable in my babbling mode

thus makes Mummy so anxious

to hear my 1st word

whether its going to be

Mummy first

or Daddy first..

Happy Birthday

Today is Daddy's birthday

Mummy bought a pandan layer cake

for Daddy

I still cant sing birthday song for daddy

and cant blow the candles on behalf

But i can , and always be

your little cutie pie

that brings laughter & tears

to you everyday

Its Holiday Again

Last year we came here for Xmas celebration

This year we're here again for Por por birthday

We checked in yesterday and stay for a nite

When we reach there, it was too early for check in

so Mummy let us have a dip at the public pool

I was thrilled , and i make a big step

everytime i walk in the pool

After 2 hrs waiting, our room was ready

Mummy booked another type of room

that's the Garden Pool Villa

Mummy requested for an upper floor room

The room was very nice indeed

with 2 king size beds

and a wooden floor

plus a tatami design

and the best part was

this unit have an outdoor swimming pool

Mummy purposely ask for this room

mainly because of the swimming pool

She feels more secured the swimming pool

is outside from our room

I was having a great time

climbing up and down the steps

while Mummy having a hard time

looks after me

she scared i might trip and fall

After the dip in the public pool

Mummy didnt let me or gor gor

to swim in our room private pool

( gor gor got a 20 mins water play time though)

She locked us from the inside

and we can only admiring

the others swim

Mummy cant swim either ( monthly duty...)

so kesian eh? only can see through the glass door

since we got nothing to do

Mummy let us have some junky

once a while should be ok

gor gor always being the smartest

he knows this hotel got provide dvd player

so he already put in a few of his fav dvd's in our bag

the Ultraman dvd entertain us for the whole day

we & Mummy, Daddy didnt join us for this trip

he got another mission to attend

Later in the afternoon

Mummy bring us to the kids playground

My 1st experience playing a see saw

i dont like it at all

I still preferred this

my all time fav, slide

For dinner , we went to Lukut

this seafood restaurant was nearby

to the Giant Hypermarket , Lukut

of all the dishes above

i only eat fish and rice

everybody commented the dishes

was delicious

today, before check out

all the other got chance

to swim again

but not me and gor gor :-(

Nevertheless, i still enjoy myself to the fullest

see how tiring am i,

i sleep all the way back
